Grasser Weizenbock on tap

unfiltered amber weizenbock in tall logo glass
Grasser Weizenbock

Brewery: Grasser
Town: Huppendorf
Style: Weizenbock
Color: unfiltered amber
Head: off-white, rocky
Nose: dried apricot, yeasty
Body: medium
Palate: richly malty, nice touch of dried apricot, yeast
Finish: lingering, semi-dry

Served: on tap at the brewery

Impression: I had to get this as I’d never had it on tap but worrisome after the dry and hoppy Josefibock. I’m glad I did as it’s a marvelous example of the style with a sublimely dry fruity palate featuring hints of dried apricot. The lingering finish is remarkably dry for the style.
