Impression: This is a brewery on my list but it’s not exactly around the corner so was happy to find their noted Kellerbier on tap in Dinkelsbühl. It came out in a Weizen glass and even from the appearance I thought maybe they hadn’t heard me right when I ordered but this is certainly a Kellerbier with a nice mix of grain and hops. Wasn’t sure what to expect as a friend said their beers were just okay and the menu heralds it as the best Kellerbier in Europe. I guess it’s somewhere in between. It’s certainly a beer I could drink quite a few of but at 4€ a .3l it’s not going to happen. The finish is very dry but not perfect. That said if it weren’t for the price, I’d get another.
I’ve been to Crailsheim, but only for one afternoon to do a presentation. Didn’t stay around for a beer afterwards, as I had a train to catch.
Oddly enough, I’m in the opposite position. I’ve had the beer but not been to the brewery in Crailsheim. I hope to rectify that this summer!
