Impression: This was another surprise at my local beer shop and while I am familiar with Spalter beer, this my first Weizen from the hop-based area brewery. It’s a good looking Weizenbock with a nice lasting head and enticingly fruity nose. It’s got a full palate with some banana and apricot but underlying hops keep it from any cloying quality. It’s balanced and fairly dry for 7.2% with a dangerously moreish finish.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
