Hofmühl Hell on tap

golden beer in logo mug
Hofmühl Hell

Brewery: Hofmühl
Town:
Eichstätt
Style:
Helles
Color:
deep golden
Head: white
, rocky
Nose:
grainy
Body: medium

Palate:
malty, grainy, ever so slight butterscotch but integrated
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, bittersweet

Served: on tap at Brauerei-Gasthof Trompete

Impression: Decent looking pour if a bit fizzier than I like. Grain in the nose and though mostly malty, it’s dry enough. It’s just sticky enough in the finish to make it only an okay beer. I got a bottle to bring home and it didn’t exhibit any butterscotch and was actually better.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
