Impression: I had a Sommer Weizen on tap at their Biergarten in 2019 and this bottled Weizen is similar. It’s gorgeously refreshing looking and makes you think of summer. The citrusy nose adds to the effect and the palate is similar if a tad thin. Don’t get me wrong, it’s tasty and I like it but with so much going on, it just doesn’t pack as much punch as it should. That said, I’d be happy if more breweries did something similar. A hoppy Weizen is a no-brainer that only a handful of breweries have tapped into.
