Zunft Trunk Dunkel on tap

dark beer in sun logo mug
Zunft Trunk Dunkel

Brewery: Zur Sonne
Town:
Bischberg
Style: Kellerbier dunkel

Color: unfiltered chestnut

Head: off-white
, rocky
Nose: slight burnt caramel, hint of spice

Body:
medium
Palate:
balanced, dry, hoppy
Finish: clean, dry, semi-bitter

Served: on tap at the brewery

Impression: Another good looking beer with a chestnut hue and off-white rocky head. There’s some spice in the otherwise malty nose but this is not a sweet dark beer in the least. It’s quite dry without being bitter. It would be interesting to drink from a Krug. I wouldn’t peg it as a Dunkles. It really is a Kellerbier.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
