Reindler Spezial Dunkel

Brewery: Reindler-Bräu
Town:
Jochsberg
Style:
Dunkles
Color: deep amber to chestnut

Head: off-white
, sudsy, rocky
Nose: malty, hint of chocolate

Body: medium

Palate: balanced, malty, hint of chocolate, underlying hops

Finish: lingering, dry, semi-bitter

Served: on tap at the Brauereigasthof Reindler

Impression: There were only two beers on tap from a fairly large line-up but was glad one of them was the Dunkles. This was the prettiest of them all with a chestnut hue and rocky off-white head. It was the least bitter by far and perhaps the second most malty. That said, it was somehow the driest so the hops were in the mix but in a more understated fashion. The lingering finish was enticing and hid its 5.5% well. It was the only beer I had two of so I guess that says which was my favorite.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
