Reindler Hefeweizen

Brewery: Reindler-Bräu
Town:
Jochsberg
Style:
Weizen
Color: ruddy amber

Head: off-white
, sudsy, yeasty
Nose: yeasty

Body: medium

Palate: balanced, grainy, malty, hoppy
, yeasty
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, semi-bitter

Served: from a bottle at the Brauereigasthof Reindler

Impression: This is one rustic Weizen with lots of yeast in the nose and palate. I might pour less of it out as it seems to add quite a bit of bitterness, not unpleasant but odd for the style. Either that or this is one hoppy wheat beer. I probably should have bought one to bring home but it was my least favorite and I was traveling on foot. At 5.2%, slightly weaker than average for the style.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
