Hennemann Bockbier Dunkel on tap

Brewery: Hennemann
Town: Sambach
Style: Dunklerbock
Color: unfiltered chestnut
Head: off-white, thinning
Nose: mix of rich malt
and hops
Body: full
Palate: balanced, richly malty, fruity, hoppy
Finish: clean, dry, semi-bitter

Served: on tap at the brewery

Impression: I finally got this beer on tap after missing it last year due to COVID-19. While the head was unimpressive compared to my self-poured bottle, it still had a lovely unfiltered chestnut hue and mix of malt and hops in the nose. Though richly malty, this is one dry Bock with ample hopping and a moreish fruitiness which makes it dangerously drinkable at 6.8%. We drank seven of them between us the one night we were lucky enough to be there. I got ten bottles to bring home too!

Next beer or back to the beer list.
