Hennemann Bock Plus

dark unfiltered beer in wine glass
Hennemann Bock Plus

Brewery: Hennemann
Town: Sambach
Style: cold-hopped Dunklerbock
Color: unfiltered chestnut
Head: tan, creamy, lasting
Nose: blackberries,
hops
Body: full
Palate: balanced, richly malty, fruity, Williamette hops
Finish: clean, dry, semi-bitter

Served: on tap at the brewery

Impression: This sounded intriguing and though more expensive than their regular Bock, it was more than fair for a Craft Beer. It’s their regular Bockbier Dunkel but cold hopped with Williamette, which gives it the blackberries in the nose. I’m not sure if it was a nitro pour but almost looked like it. It was a much more impressive pour than the Bock with a creamy lasting tan head. Along with the berry aspect, it was even drier than the regular Bock with a clean bitter finish.
