Göller Dunkles Bockbier
Town: Zeil am Main
Nose: richly malty, spicy
Palate: richly malty, some spiciness, a touch of roast
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, semi-bitter
Served: on tap at the brewery
Impression: I’d had this in a bottle once and wasn’t amazed by it so was happy to finally get it on tap. Nice dark Bock, which is atypical for the area in autumn. Full-bodied with a fair head and spicy nose, it’s well-balanced with some toasty notes and a lingering semi-dry finish. Dangerous at 7%.
