Color: light amber
Head: off-white, creamy
Nose: richly malty, honey, light grain
Palate: richly malty, fine grain/hops mix, fruity
Finish: lingering, semi-dry
Served: on tap at the brewery
Impression: This is a beer I’ve wanted since first coming to the brewery. Much richer and maltier than the already malty flagship, this is nevertheless a drier and cleaner beer despite its over the top 8+ alcohol content. There’s an unmistakable honey note in the nose which intermingles with the underlying hops for a moreishly semi-dry finish. The first one went down too easily but I felt it when I started the second one!
