Head: white, creamy, rocky
Nose: rich toasted malt
Palate: richly malty, toasted malt, semi-dry
Finish: lingering, semi-dry
Served: on tap at the brewery
Impression: I had their Märzen a few months earlier and though light in color for the style, it was a great example. This Spezial looks more the part of a Märzen with a rich amber hue and it’s again richly malty with a nice toasted element. It was a bit of a gassy pour but as it died down, it revealed itself to be quite quaffable with a fair semi-dry finish.
