Hellmuth Hanna Märzenbier
Brewery: Hellmuth
Town: Wiesen
Style: Märzen
Color: in Krug so no visuals, looks amber
Head: off-white, thinning
Nose: slight roast
Body: medium
Palate: sourish, fruity, faint roast
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, semi-bitter
Served: on tap at the brewery
Impression: This was an even more rushed beer than my first and if I were to drink both beers again, I’d have this maltier Märzen first. It had a sourish quality which wasn’t entirely unpleasant but not in line with the style. This could have a bit of an order effect as their Urstoff is fairly dry and had a more bitter finish. I plan on having more time on my next visit and to rectify the order in which I drink the beers.
Next beer or back to the beer list.
