Impression: I was happy to get this Bock while doing a tour. It was late September and surely early for a Bock in Franconia. It was promising looking with an unfiltered amber hue and rocky ample head. The nose was malty but lacked any other element and foreshadowed what was essentially a one-dimensional Bock. It was malty and lacked any dried fruit, roast or any type of complexity you look for in such a beer. It was fairly light-bodied for the style as well. So, I’ve had three seasonal beers from Göller and have to say each was on the disappointing side. Their flagship Lager hell seems to be the one to go to when here.
