Wiethaler Lager Hell
Color: light golden
Head: white, rocky
Nose: slight grain, Hersbruck & Spalter hops
Palate: balanced, grainy, Hersbruck & Spalter hops
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, slightly bitter
Served: on tap at Gasthof Wiethaler
Impression: I wasn’t sure what to expect since the Goldstoff Hell is reportedly their classic and this is their light colored beer on tap. It’s a nicely balanced grainy brew with enough Spalter & Hersbruck hops to make it interesting but I’d be a a Dunkles drinker if I were a local.
