unfiltered amber beer in logo mug
Göller Gaumenkitzler

Brewery: Göller
Town:
Drosendorf
Style: top-fermented Rotbier (Gaumenkitzler)

Color:
unfiltered amber
Head: o
ff-white, creamy, thinning
Nose:
fruity
Body:
medium
Palate:
balanced, malty, fruity
Finish:
lingering

Served: on tap at the brewery

Impression: Aside from it being top-fermented, there was no other information as to the style but tasted most like a Dunkelweizen to me. Low carbonation for the style but the mix of fruit and roast is there. Lingering finish waivers between the two. Not my choice for a second beer on tap in summer but certainly fair enough. That’s what I wrote when there but later read on their website it’s a top-fermented Rotbier which sounds possible too.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
