Fürst Carl Schlossgold Export
Brewery: Fürst Carl Schlossbrauerei
Town: Ellingen
Style: Export
Color: light golden
Head: white, creamy
Nose: grainy, light hops
Body: medium, fizzy
Palate: balanced, fruity, grainy, underlying hops
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, semi-bitter
Served: on tap at Fürst Carl Bräustüberl
Impression: A full but fizzy pour, looks like something you’d find at a German restaurant in the states. Fairly aromatic with a mix of grain and hops. Malty slightly sticky palate with slight grain. Hops kick in to make the finish a bit drier and slightly bitter. With food, it’s got a pleasant grassy note. With a less gassy pour, it would be decent. As it is, one is enough.
