Fürst Carl Franken Ale

unfiltered golden beer in wine glass with bottle
Fürst Carl Franken Ale

Brewery: Fürst Carl Schlossbrauerei
Town:
Ellingen
Style: Pale Ale
Color: unfiltered dark golden

Head: white, rocky, lasting

Nose: citrus hops

Body: medium

Palate: balanced, citrus hops, grapefruit

Finish: lingering, semi-dry

Served: from a bottle bought at the brewery

Impression: Much like their Herbest Glück, this is a second cold hopped beer but an ale with three aroma hops. It’s a bit darker with a creamier head and citrusy nose. It has even more grapefruit in the palate but not as dry or nearly as bitter. Not bad but not as good as the Herbes Glück. The finish is weak.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
