Impression: The beer I’d had years ago in a bottle, not knowing it was from Franconia mostly lives up to the memory. It’s overly carbonated and the CO2 creeps in on what is essentially a very nice Dunkles. It’s got a bit of roast to the malty palate and dries out nicely in the lingering bittersweet finish. Shame it’s poured so poorly.
