Impression: Great looking beer with a massive lasting head but my least favorite of the Ammerndorfer beers I’ve tried so far. From it’s name, it appears to be perhaps an Altfränkischesbier and I guess it mostly follows it looks and flavor-wise. There’s a touch of butterscotch but nothing intrusive, just seems odd since none of their other beers had it. I was expecting a bit more hops but it’s a relatively dry beer with an easy drinking if slightly bland character.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
