Stöckel-Bräu Weisse

Brewery: Stöckel-Bräu
Town:
Hintergereuth
Style: Weissbier
Color:
honeycomb
Head: yeasty, sudsy, lively

Nose:
yeasty, fruity, hint of banana
Body: light, low carbonation

Palate:
yeasty, fruity, hint of banana
Finish: clean, semi-dry, very slightly bitter

Served:
from a bottle bought locally

Impression: This was a very lively pour with a massive head but ultimately sudsy and dissipating. The nose was yeasty with some fruit and a hint of banana. The carbonation waned, leaving it very low for the style despite a proper pouring technique. Even so, it’s quite refreshing and simultaneously drier than I initially thought it might be. The finish remains dry with just a touch of bitterness. It’s a little thin on flavor but is nice nonetheless and amazingly drinkable at 5.5%.
