Binkert Porter on tap

dark beer in glass with logo
Binkert Porter

Brewery: Brauhaus Binkert
Town:
Breitengüßbach
Style: Porter

Color: unfiltered chestnut

Head: tan, creamy

Nose: roasty, underlying hops

Body:
medium, soft
Palate:
balanced, roasty, semi-dry, semi-bitter
Finish: clean, dry, semi-bitter

Served: on tap at the brewpub

Impression: Another great pour and a nice interpretation of an American Porter with lots of hops mixed in with the more traditional roasty element. A very smooth nitro-like body befitting the style. Dryish finish makes it moreish. I had this after a few fairly hoppy beers and it held up against them easily. Dangerously drinkable at 5.3%.
