Binkert Amber Spezial on tap

beer in fancy glass with logo
Binkert Amber Spezial

Brewery: Brauhaus Binkert
Town:
Breitengüßbach
Style: American style amber ale

Color: unfiltered amber

Head: white, creamy

Nose: citrusy hops

Body:
medium
Palate:
balanced, dry, citrusy hops, semi-bitter
Finish: lingering, dry, bitter

Served: on tap at the brewpub

Impression: I’d found this tasty if a bit thin in the bottle so it was interesting to taste it on tap. It was nicely poured with a creamy head and citrusy nose. It was fuller flavored on tap but remained balanced with the citrusy hops drying it out nicely in the finish. Not huge but a creeping over bitterness lingering in the finish as it warms takes away some of the pleasure in drinking it so not really a beer to session on, perhaps good at 5.9%.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
