Color: light amber
Head: off-white, sudsy
Nose: rich malt, grainy
Palate: richly malty, grainy, balanced
Finish: fairly clean, semi-dry, bittersweet
Served: from a bottle bought in the area
Impression: This Festbier from Becher-Bräu is richly malty with a slight spicy character so a bit in the Märzen mold. There’s a tinge of well-integrated butterscotch and just enough hops kick in for a semi-bitter finish.
