Town: Hütten (Warmensteinach)
Head: off-white, sudsy, thinning
Nose: richly malty, some grain, hint of hops
Palate: balanced, malty, slight roast, underlying hops
Finish: clean, semi-dry, semi-bitter
Served: from a bottle bought locally
Impression: Since I’d spent the previous night at the brewery tap hotel and they only had two of their beers on tap, I picked up some bottles to try at home. This Märzen was rich and malty with some roast and underlying hops to give it fair balance. Evidently brewed according to an old family recipe. The finish was clean and semi-dry, making for an easy drinking 5.8%.
