Brewery: Entla’s Keller
Color: in Krug so no visuals, looks dark golden to light amber
Head: white, creamy, thinning
Nose: grainy, light hops, peppery
Palate: balanced, hoppy, light grain, semi-dry
Finish: relatively clean, semi-dry, semi-bitter
Served: on tap at the Entla’s Keller
Impression: Entla’s is now brewing beer and my main reason for the visit was to see how they’re doing with the new enterprise. It’s a bit pricey at 4€ and my first pour was weak. Fair head but thins quickly with both hops and grain in the nose. It’s balanced with fair hopping but seems to lack any real harmony and the finish is somehow searching for the end. It’s easy enough to drink but at 4€ a half liter, I wouldn’t likely go out of my way again to do it. If in Erlangen, it’s worth checking out.
