Günther-Bräu Maibock

yellow beer in glass with big head and bottle next to flowers in grass
Günther Maibock

Brewery: Günther-Bräu
Town: Burgkunstadt
Style:
Hellerbock (Maibock)
Color: golden

Head:
white, sudsy
Nose:
faint grain
Body: medium

Palate: balanced, grainy, malty, underlying hops
Finish: lingering, dry, bittersweet

Served: from a bottle bought locally

Impression: Always happy to find a new for me Maibock and from a new for me brewery no less! Golden with an ample head and slightly grainy nose. It’s a malty brew  with plenty of hops to dry things out nicely in the lingering, bittersweet finish. Dangerous at 7%.
