Impression: I’ve had most of the Anna Festbiers on tap at the festival but have never had time to take notes or photos of them. They are in Krugs so you really have no idea of their color anyway. So, I was a happy to pick up a bottle of Greif’s offering. Nice light amber hue and massive head with a richly malty nose. It’s much drier and fruitier than most Festbiers and with plenty of hops, making for a somewhat dry, semi-bitter finish. It’s moreish at 5.5% and better than anything at Munich’s big show.
