Binkert Porter

dark beer in glass with huge head and bottle with flower
Binkert Porter

Brewery: Brauhaus Binkert
Town:
Breitengüssbach
Style: Porter

Color: unfiltered mahogany

Head: tan, rocky, massive

Nose: malt, roast, hops

Body:
medium
Palate:
balanced, roasty, underlying hops
Finish: lingering, dry, semi-bitter

Served: from a bottle bought locally

Impression: Binkert is a relatively new brewery which brews both traditional and new craft beer styles. This a very good interpretation of an American porter with a nice mix of roast and hops, lingering into the dryish, semi-bitter finish. A great if hearty session ale at 5.3%.
