Beck Bräu Helle

golden beer in clear mug with pewter lid and pretzel with bottle

Beck Bräu Helle

Brewery: Beck Bräu
Town: Trabelsdorf
Style: Helles
Color: pale golden
Head: white, creamy
Nose: faint grain
Body: medium
Palate: balanced, malty, light grain
Finish: clean, semi-dry, semi-bitter

Served: from a bottle bought in the area

Impression: The last of a recent batch of Beck Bräu bottles is a surprisingly serviceable Helles with a nicely balanced malty palate, featuring a fine graininess. Hops are in the background but do their job of keeping this semi-dry. The finish is just a bit bitter, making for a beer you could easily session on at 4.9%.
