Friedel Festbier
Brewery: Friedel
Town: Zentbechhofen
Style: Festbier
Color: unfiltered amber
Head: white, rocky
Nose: rich malt, light grain, a touch of spice
Body: medium
Palate: very much malt forward, nice spicy element
Finish: lingering, faint bitterness
Served: from a bottle bought in the area
Impression: Good looking beer with massive head which dissipated by the time I got this photo (after doing Instagram post). Some spice in the otherwise malty nose. Rich malty palate with a pleasant touch of spice. It seems a little sticky initially but some underlying bitterness creeps in towards the finish. It’s an easy drinker at 5.6%.
