Friedel Friedelsator

golden beer in glass with bottle
Friedel Friedelsator

Brewery: Friedel
Town: Zentbechhofen

Style: Bock
Color: golden
Head: white, ample, rocky, bready
Nose: malty, grainy, floral hops
Body: medium
Palate: balanced, malty, grainy, nice floral hops
Finish: clean, semi-dry, semi-bitter

Served: from a bottle bought in the area

Impression: I’d walked to this small brewery this past summer only to be turned away at the door. There were people inside but the owner decided it was closed seemingly when I got there. I was none too happy as it was supposed to be open according to their opening hours. I saw this beer online when making a large order of Bocks and decided to give it a try to see what I’d missed. It was a gorgeous one with a massive lasting head and fine malty nose with a hint of floral hops. There was a nice grainy/hoppy interplay before the dryish, somewhat bitter finish. I’ll order some of their regular beers and hopefully make it inside the pub next time in the area.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
