Impression: This was my second beer at the brewery and it followed a two-hour hike. I nearly skipped it as I wasn’t thrilled with the Helles I’d had before setting off on the hike but I was thirsty and a Weizen sounded about right. Still, I wasn’t about to go all out and got a .3 pour, which was generous I must say, with the head easily surpassing the top of the Weizen glass. It tasted about what it looked like, very citrusy with none of the typical clove/banana interplay you expect. That said, it was refreshing and what I was looking for though on subsequent sips I found it a bit thin on flavor. Still, it would be a welcomed beer on a hot day, which I must say this was not.
Next beer or back to the beer list.
