Impression: I rarely drink bottled beer at a brewery but I had a couple hours before my bus was to come and though I quite liked the only beer on tap, the Lagerbier, I didn’t feel like drinking it the whole time. Since it had taken me ages to get to the brewery, I wasn’t sure when I’d be back. I was expecting a golden beer when I ordered the Export so was quite surprised when this dark beer came out. In fact, I really would have sworn I’d been given the Lagerbier again though when comparing photos later, I saw that it was a shade lighter. Since it’s a stronger beer, you’d expect it to possibly be a notch sweeter but oddly enough, this was not quite as rich or malty and actually on the drier side. It lacked the caramel aspect of the Lagerbier but it was on the hoppier. I think more people would drink it if on tap and I found it easier to drink due to its drier finish.

Back to the beer list.
