Impression: This was a nightcap beer after many great beers at Brauerei Scharpf so I will hold judgement. I would have waited until the next day to stop in but it was going to be closed so this was my only chance. It was dark amber with a rocky head but that thinned quickly. There was burnt malt in the nose and the overall flavor was pretty much the same. I detected a touch of amonia but perhaps during COVID-19, they were being extra careful in cleaning their glassware. The finish was dryish and slightly bitter. I’ll have to try this again when I return for a meal at the reportedly great restaurant.
