Impression: I’d had a couple of their beers in bottle form and finally got to the brewpub recently. I quite liked the place, especially the food and the beers on tap were decent as well. I picked up a rather pricey six-pack while there of beers not on tap and this was one of them. At home, I got to drink it side by side with their Lager and it was interesting. This one poured a bit like an southern English ale with a sudsy head. It was a bit too cold initially but as it warmed up, it revealed itself to be a nicely balanced and fairly hoppy session ale. I think they’d do themselves a favor by renaming it as it’s not super, but certainly nice. Perhaps Summer Ale would be more befitting.
