Impression: I’ve had this Kellerbier at their Bierkeller up on the Kreuzberg many times and it’s always one of my favorites. I had a chance to have it at the brewery just up the road this past spring before it shuttered for the summer and it was nice to finally see it in a glass. It’s much lighter in color than most Kellerbiers but has a great dry fruity palate. It’s on regular tap at the brewpub but not gassy. This was my first time at their Dorfkeller and it’s on gravity dispense there. Despite this being the end of the barrel, it was gorgeous. We’d had one up on the hill earlier that afternoon and this was even better. It had a floral nose I hadn’t noticed before and the finish begged for another. I complied and it probably cost me the bus but it was worth it.
