Zwanzger Marilyn
Brewery: Zwanzger
Town: Uehlfeld
Style: Weizen
Color: unfiltered, lemony
Head: creamy, thinning
Nose: slight citrusy hops
Body: medium, quite soft
Palate: fruity, quite dry, slightly bitter, some peppery notes
Finish: dry, somewhat bitter
Served: from a bottle at the brewpub
Impression: Another nice surprise at Zwanzger was that along with a nice line-up of traditional Bavarian beers, they had some bottled craft beer entries. I noticed quite a few young people drinking them and they were very fairly priced so gave this one a try. It was very dry for a Weizen and while the hops were not pronounced, they did impart a slightly bitter pleasant finish.
Next beer or back to the beer list.
