Impression: This was after a short morning hike out behind the brewery and it was most refreshing. Hopped with Citra, Polaris and Cascade, this was also refreshing in the sense that it’s something very few German brewers do: use discernible hops in a wheat beer. It’s a shame because I think it would be popular and while this was amply hopped, it wasn’t overly so or intrusive. There’s plenty of room for traditional Weißbiers with banana and clove but this is a great summer beer with lots of citrusy hops making for a somewhat dry finish. While this clocks in at 5.2%, this could be made as a low alcohol wheat beer and be very tasty and I bet popular. It’s better than drinking a Radler!
