Impression: On my return trip to Weiher, I had a few days to try many of their beers on tap. I started off with their signature Lagerbier and worked from there. Also, while you could get any of their many tap beers in the Biergarten, they were only served in half-liter pours and many of them in ceramic mugs. So, I had some beers twice to see what they looked like and thankfully in the restaurant you could get smaller pours in clear tasting glasses. I had the Kellerbier right after the Lagerbier outside and found it similarly balanced but with less of a grain element. While it was hoppier, with a definite citrus hop presence, it was somehow less bitter. I quite liked it and at 4.9%, I could drink it all day out under their big leafy tree, but with so many to try, it’s just not possible. I would also have to say, I think I prefer the Lagerbier over it. That said, I liked it enough to have it in a small portion inside with dinner.
