Impression:  This was my first beer of my last evening meal at the brewery and a nice way to start. With a rather large group of unfiltered session type beers on their menu, I thought this might be overkill but it was a true to style if unfiltered Märzen. It lacked a bit of the spiciness I like in one but it was drier than many too, something I also like. There was bread in the nose and nice biscuity notes in the primarily malty palate. The finish was lingering but not cloying. At 5.6%, it’s a strong choice for a long evening session beer. With so many choices on their beer menu, it would be an easy one to overlook but I think it’s worth a try if a Märzen fan.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
