Impression: This is perhaps the most beloved of all Franconian Pils and it’s surely the favorite of the people from Bamberg. It’s a gorgeous looking beer and very well-balanced. The scent has some bread and while there’s plenty of malt backbone, this is generally a dry fruity beer with plenty of bitterness in the finish. It’s one of the best session beers in town too. You’ll find tons of locals doing just that in the atmospheric old pub or in the bustling courtyard.
