Reh Landbier Dunkel
Brewery: Brauerei Reh

Body: medium
Palate: dry, fruity, some grain
Finish: clean, bittersweet
Served: from a bottle at the brewery
Impression: I’m glad I finally made it to this regional brewery. They now have expanded hours but it’s just an area of the brewery where you can buy and drink bottles of their beer onsite. There isn’t a restaurant or food. That said, they are very hospitable and when I asked for a glass to drink from, they were happy to supply one. They have a fairly large line-up of beers and this is their flagship. It’s a classic Franconian lager with a soft fruity palate and clean bittersweet finish. It’s dangerously drinkable and deceptive at 5.5% alcohol. Hope to find it somewhere on tap one day but if on the trail, drop by and have one here.
