Impression: On a recent visit, I noticed a lot of people drinking a beer that looked a bit like the standard Vollbier but a shade lighter. I asked the waitress and she said it was a Kellerbier. I ordered one and while it was a nice enough and a very balanced brew, it was a bit bland and I couldn’t understand the need for it when it was similar to the Vollbier, if less tasty. It’s worth a try but if you only have time for one, I’d go for the Vollbier.
Next beer or back to the beer list.
When drinking my Bitburger 0,0% I always enjoy reading about these different sorts of Franconian beers on your website.
Cheers!
Good to hear, Don. We all have some extra time and using some of mine to catch up on some old beer reviews. The hardest part is finding the photos and deciphering some pre-digital beer notes!
