Impression: I’ve had an odd relationship with this beer. I had it on tap the first time I was there. It came in a logo-less krug and it was dark so I didn’t take a photo of it. It was very rushed as the table was reserved for 45 minutes after we sat down. I have some very basic notes which essentially say I liked it better than their Pils but it’s not what I’d drink again if I came. The second time I was there, I got some bottles to go and one of them was called Urstoff. It was gorgeous in a glass and a nice malty brew, to it seemed more like a Märzen than what I later found out it was: the bottled version of the Kellerbier. Oh well, I guess I do like it and the next time I am at Krug, I’ll give it another shot if it’s on tap.
