Höhn Görchla

yellow beer in glass with big head
Höhn Görchla

Brewery: Höhn
Town:
Memmelsdorf
Style:
Kellerbier
Color: unfiltered golden

Head: rocky, creamy

Nose: slight grain

Body: medium, soft

Palate: balanced, grainy

Finish: bittersweet

Served: on tap at the brewery

Impression: I probably made the mistake of having this after the Bock. Actually, there wasn’t much time so we ordered one of each but still tried the Bock first since it was winter and wasn’t sure if I’d have the chance to have it on tap again. They had similar palates but the Bock was understandably bolder and more flavorful. I had the Görchla later in the summer at the Keller and thought it was better. Expectations and setting can have those effects on perception.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
