Göller Kellerbier
Brewery: Göller
Town: Zeil am Main
Style: Kellerbier
Color: dark honeycomb
Head: creamy, white
Nose: slight cereal
Body: medium
Palate: malty, some cereal, fair hopping
Finish: clean, dry, slightly bitter
Served: on tap at the brewery
Impression: This is a beer I’d be more likely to drink in summer but the description sounded good and it was on tap, so went for a lighter offering on my third beer. It was a very nicely balanced beer with a touch of cereal but the hops gave it a nice dryish clean finish. I’d be happy to return and drink this in their Biergarten.
Next beer or back to the beer list.

I'm an American living in Munich. Why? Well, I came for the beer but stayed for the girl. I'm very happily married to a German woman. Of course, the bonus of great beer certainly doesn't hurt. An avid love of hiking and finding new beers has led me to found beerwanderers, an information resource on beer hiking trails in Franconia with an emphasis on Franconian food specialties and the endless variety of amazing beer the region is renowned for. I also just published my first book Beer Hiking Bavaria which features 50 beer hikes in Bavaria. View all posts by beerwanderers
