Fässla Lagerbier
Brewery: Fäßla
Town: Bamberg
Style: Franconian lager
Color: light amber
Head: white, creamy
Nose: grainy
Body: medium, low carbonation
Palate: balanced, some grain up front, fair hopping
Finish: long, dry, bitter
Served: on tap at the brewery
Impression: I hadn’t had this beer in many years but with some time to kill before my train and Fässla’s convenient location, I jumped in for a quick one and sat out in the back courtyard area. I had somehow overlooked this great little spot for many years but will not do it again. In addition to discovering this, I found out that this is a great little session beer. It’s a classic Franconian fruity lager with a great dry bitter finish.
