Brauerei Ott Edel-Pils
Brewery: Ott
Town: Oberleinleiter
Style: Pils
Color: pale yellow
Head: white, creamy
Nose: grainy
Body: light
Palate: quite dry, bitter, some grain
Finish: dry, clean, bitter
Served: on tap at the brewery
Impression: Since I’d enjoyed the Export so much, I figured I’d try the Pils too. While served in either .25 or .5 servings, it came out in a Pils glass with logo so impressed right off the bad. It had a grainy nose but there wasn’t so much of that in the very dry, bitter palate. It was closer to a true Pils than I expected and not sure if it was just the heat of the day, but I liked the Export more. It was just more quaffable.
